Project aim

To improve and develop cultural heritage objects and traditional skills in order to increase the number of visitors to the Program area.

Project main activities

  • Cross-border culture and tourism institutions loyalty programme creation and popularization in high priority markets
  • Restauration works of the Casemates in the Bastion 7 of the Daugavpils Fortress and Daugavpils M. Rotko centre ceramic fund function adjustment
  • Organisation big cross-border event: historical reconstruction festival, craft festival, ceramic symposium.

Project implementation period

24 month: 1. September of 2020 – 31. August of 2020

This project is funded by the European Union

Project total costs: 1 017 712 EUR, of which European Union support is 90% or 915 941 EUR

Daugavpils city council’s part: 567 149 EUR European Union support 90% or 510 434 EUR.

The 2914-2020 European Neighbourhood Instrument Cross-border Cooperation Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus Programme fosters synergistic partnership of the Latvian, Lithuanian and Belarus organisations with the financial support of the European Union. The strategic goal of the Programme is to strength relations, raise capacities and share experience among people and organisations trough implementation of joined actions, witch focus on increasing the overall quality of life in the border regions. The EU funding to the Programme is 74 million EUR.
