Starting from May 16, 2020 Daugavpils Fortress Culture and Information Centre will open its doors to visitors In keeping with the restrictions and safety measures decreed by the government, Daugavpils Fortress Culture and Information Centre will accept up to 6 visitors, keeping 2m distance and using hand sanitizers that are available at the centre. It will be possible to apply for tours accompanied by a guide for groups up to 10 people. Organized groups should wear facemasks during the tour.
Opening hours of Daugavpils Fortress Culture and Information Centre will be 10 am - 6 pm every day. Duration of a visit will be limited to 30 minutes.
Visitors are asked to assess their health and postpone the visit in case of having any respiratory disease symptoms or implementing a self-isolation order.
Daugavpils Fortress Culture and Information Centre is located in the former Water-lifting Tower building, at the 5 Nikolaja Street. In the centre you can get information about the history of the fortress and tourist objects located on its territory, it is also possible to book a guided tour and buy unique souvenirs. There is a small exposition with historical drawings, photos, military uniforms and artifacts in the centre. All of these objects have been found in the fortress in recent years.
