A pleasant Christmas gift for inmates of orphanage City news
On the 9th of December, 2012 in Riga Old Town Dome Square was held Cheerful Santa Claus race. The organizers of the event were Riga Internation "Rotary Club". The purpose of the fun race was to support the Children's Home "Priedīte" in Daugavpils.
The students of orphanage "Priedīte" came to Riga to participate in the mass race of Santa Clauses. Boys were dressed in Santa Claus costumes. At 12:00 the event got started, the teenagers ran on the distance of the Old Town in a friendly team, the length of the distance of about 1.5 km. At the finish each pupil was awarded with a medal.
Huge thanks to Riga Internation "Rotary Club" for the opportunity to participate, the participants were very pleased, received positive emotions from a trip to the race of Cheerful Santa Clauses!
