Traffic in 18 Novembra Street will be fully opened on Saturday City news

From 10th of November at 10:25 traffic will be fully opened in18 Novembra Street. Road works are completed, are continuing works that do not interfere with the movement of the street.

Head of Municipal Department Aivars Pudāns explained that the road was scheduled to open on the 30th of October, but due to the absence of complete lighting renovation works, for security purposes street opening movement was delayed.

Concreting works of Laucesa bridge are completed. This week the asphalt will be laid.

Major works are planned for the next year, when the air bridge will get reconstructed in18 Novembra Street. The bridge will be closed to traffic, there will be only a tram movement and probably will run another public transport. Rail replacement will take place in18 Novembra streetintersections with Valkas, Ventspils, Jelgavas streets. Construction of circle will take place in at theBridgeofVienibas, will take place works on the bridge, which will restrict traffic.

Relating to the work done in other projects. Completely opened is traffic inVidzemes Streetunder the arch. There will also take place edging installation that will not interfere with the movement of street. Movement of inVišķu Streetis opened between Šaura street toKaunas street. Stage fromSmilškalna streettoMendeļejeva streetis planning to open next week.
