In Daugavpils took place children and youth fashion contest "Fashion wave" City news
On Saturday, the 27th of October in Daugavpils Culture Palace was held a charity children and youth fashion contest "Fashion wave". The competition was organized by the association "Rainbow club", but the author of idea is the head of the association Anita Ozoliņa.
Contestants from Latvia and Lithuania were welcomed by Daugavpils City Council Chairperson Žanna Kulakova, she emphasized that the competition is an opportunity for young creative people to show their achievements and share their experiences with their peers; it is a great school for the next fashion designers. Žanna Kulakova wished all the contestants to get interesting ideas, new friends and experiences about our city as well as juries favor.
84 people participated in the competition. During of the competition were shown the fashion collections, individual performances and a dog defile took place. Competition Grand Prix was won by young people from Lithuanian city Gargždai.
