To select partner for regional international airport “Daugavpils” establishing in time period till year 2013, thus improving accessibility of the region, increasing investments inflow into the city and region and favor economic development.      

Daugavpils - the second biggest city in Latvia, is important economic centre in Latgale region on the Eastern border of the European Union. Airport is located in 15 km from Daugavpils city, close to the highway Warsaw – Sankt-Petersburg, in 25-30 km from the borders of Lithuania and Belarus and in 100 km from the border of Russia.  

In order to realize the project LLC “Daugavpils lidosta” had been established in 2005 August. All 100% of the shares belong to Daugavpils City Council. LLC “Daugavpils lidosta” is the owner of 231,77 hectares of land in settlement “Lociki”, Naujene volost, Daugavpils region, cadastre number   4474 002 0029.
